This elegant one‑piece afternoon dress, dating to around 1910 and originating from America, is a beautifully preserved example of late Edwardian daywear. Made of crisp white linen, the dress stands out for its close‑fitting, elongated silhouette, which reflects the refined simplicity of early 20th‑century fashion.
The dress features a side button closure - all buttons present - and is richly decorated with inlaid Irish lace, a hallmark of high‑quality craftsmanship. The surface is further embellished with lush floral embroidery, adding texture and delicacy to the otherwise understated linen. The half‑length sleeves complete the graceful, feminine look typical of the period.
The dress is in good to very good condition. Some sections where the linen meets the lace intarsia show small imperfections, but these can be easily repaired with basic sewing skill. Decorative items shown in photographs are not included.
A charming and collectible example of Edwardian domestic elegance, ideal for enthusiasts of antique white dresses, historic textiles, and museum‑quality garments.
